Azerbaijan will draft a new document on family strategy, said the chairman of the State Committee for Family, Women and Children, Bahar Muradova.
She made the remarks at the conference on the basis of the sociological survey âCurrent family relations in Azerbaijan: socio-psychological analysisâ.
âThe family based on national and spiritual values ââis the basis of the state. Policies of democratic states should focus on human resources. There is a family institution, historically formed in the world, as well as in Azerbaijan. The state is implementing various programs to preserve this model, âsaid Muradova.
This sociological project was launched as a result of joint activities of the Center for Social Research and the State Committee for the Family, Women and Children.
It studies the interaction and relations of the Azerbaijani family, family relations, family values, dynamics and transformation in recent years and can be considered as one of the first researches in the field of systematic presentation of the general idea of ââfamily problems.
Different views on the processes taking place in the intergenerational value system were discussed at the conference.
âA new document related to the rehabilitation of disabled children has been prepared,â said Deputy Minister of Labor and Social Protection Anar Karimov.
He added that important projects are being carried out in the area of ââproviding social services to low-income families. He stressed that this is a national action plan, which will be implemented over the next six years.
âAnother project concerns adoption and children deprived of parental care. Another project concerns host families. All of this is important for integrating children into society, âKarimov said.
He also noted that in 2022, there are plans to provide child-related payments in nine areas.
The deputy minister added that more than 50,000 families are currently receiving targeted state social assistance in the country.
