The Cesarewitch winner and former Stayers’ Hurdle frontman hopes Buzz will undergo the next stage of his rehabilitation next week, according to coach Nicky Henderson.
Buzz announced his Cheltenham credentials when taking on the Coral Hurdle at Ascot but suffered a broken pelvis before returning to the Berkshire track for his next target, the Long Walk Hurdle.
Henderson is “hopeful” that the exciting Gray will make a full recovery.

He said: “Buzz is a good patient. The view is to re-examine and re-scan this basin on Monday or early next week.
“He’s a beautiful horse and he’s bored, poor boy, but he’s been very good. So far so good, but it’s a long process.
Henderson, who missed seeing Constitution Hill land at the Tolworth Hurdle last weekend because he self-isolated after contracting Covid-19, has been given the all-clear and is eager to get going again.
“I’ve been box walking, but I feel fine,” Henderson said.
“Like Buzz, I’ve been very good and I’m cleared. Truth be told, they’ll be happy to get rid of me.
